Curariders - The greatest MTB club on the island

We are proud to introduce our “Cura Riders MTB” association of bike sport fanatics/Lovers of our island Curacao, Netherlands Antilles.
We started as a group of fanatics/lovers for the bike sport in 2005 practicing the mountain bike sport.
The primary goal of the group was to promote and preserve this sport for future generations.
We realized not much after that, that there was a genuine interest for this sport in all levels of our community,
which made us aware that the cycling group that we had initially was much more than just a cycling group.
It had, next to the practice of the sport, a very large impact on the social environment of our community.
It turned out to be evident that the bike sport and casual biking is making their way into our community.
In our daily lives we see more and more bike on top of cars, in baggage compartments, hanging out at the rear of vehicles and most of all sport and social events are being organized around the bike.
In particular for the mountain biker the chance to be in contact with nature is a very much appreciated moment of relaxation, which to some is unsurpassed. This was what induced our group to officially institutionalize the
“Cura Riders MTB” association on the 20th December 2007 - with the same primary goals the group initially started with in 2005 and the association started officially to register members to the sport.
The goal of the official association is to promote and preserve the bike sport in general and in particular the various categories of the sport for future generations.
We aim to realize our goal through every affordable effort of our members and legal means available.
“Cura Riders MTB” is the abbreviation of Curacao riders MTB.

Simultaneous with the primary goals of Cura Riders MTB we aim to associate with local and international biker’s associations to keep in touch with the international developments of the sport and to
maintain a relationship with the (inter)national federation
[as a registered member]. Currently we have officially registered 75 members, consisting of 40 male and 35 female bikers,
varying between ages of 12 to 60 years old.
We also encourage foreign bikers to enlist as an international member, which membership will entitle them to practice the MTB sport while vacationing the island and to participate in our yearly tournaments at reduced rates and accommodations.
Do not hesitate to contact us for additional information.
Bikers unite and ride the world for sport,
relaxation or just for the fun of it.

“Cura Riders MTB” is also going your pace.
